DECISIONS.........you can't just avoid them.

Good morning friends. I welcome you yet again to “Zicolo Today”. It’s another day with loads of opportunities again. Have you ever observed the way the sun rises and sets every day and the fact that we all have the same 24 hours every day? Have you ever thought of what then makes the difference between a rich man and a poor man, a successful and an unsuccessful man? It is like two pupils with the same lunch break allowance. What will make the difference in the value they get from the money is how they DECIDE to spend it. We are all entitled with what ‘to do” or “not do” with our time. The truth is, we make decisions every moments, either consciously or unconsciously. Interestingly, not making a decision is in itself making a decision. It means we are deciding not to make a decision. The more conscious we make our decisions the more power we have in the now. A decision determines direction. It will either lead you in the right direction or the wrong direction.

We are all products of the decisions we have made in the past, even if those decisions have been made as a result of our procrastination or indecisiveness. Life will be what we decide it should be! The best way to live is by making a decision and respecting the decision. Never wait for life to happen to you. Learn to make good decisions and manage your decisions. You will never go anywhere until you decide where to go. The decisions we make today will steer us to what and where we will be tomorrow.

The decisions we make are our guides to move ahead and realise the goals we set in life. It is always nice to plan ahead of time what has to be done day after day. We should never be afraid of difficulties, only be prepared to learn from whatever the result (success, failure, pain etc). We must be resilient with a stout ability to adjust and fit-in to the situation and then decide again what is to be done next. It is always about decisions at every point in life. There is no moving forward without a decision. If you fail to decide on anything then be rest assured that decisions will be made on your behalf and you will have no choice other than to accept it. But if you are able to convince yourself enough, you will be able to make a right decision.

Starting from this moment, decide to begin to make a decision. Be a go-getter and a decision-maker in both your professional and personal life. Constantly evaluate the pros and cons of each decision. Live your life, take life by your chances. Sometimes you make a decision based on the facts at your disposal and it turns out wrong. Do not be disturbed, just remember that without failure there is no success. Without being tested there is no testimony. Stand by your decision and do not be afraid to say, “I was wrong” and then make another decision to get yourself back on course. Failing forward is a way to achieve your goals and the success you desire and you can only do that through constant decision making. Enjoy the rest of your day. I love you.
